Or Ponyfest Australia..... There's only been 6 people to vote so maybe we could start again? Don't shoot me! Or add a note asking people to post that they prefer Ponyfest as it got left off the poll.

Cascading fashion? You mean like on the $1 coin right? I'll have a fiddle around and see if I can come up with some other cutie symbol designs. Might play around with the colours too..

lol! or it could be that I just pay too much attention to the pictures they have on monies, more often than most people. I've done a couple more and tried different colours. They don't feel as good as my first two, but hey something different. If you want me to switch colours around to other symbols I can do that. note: these are hasty makes, I can draw roos and emus much better than these. (I can include the boomarang near the eye and 7-point star on hoof if you want.) Aussie red (without the uluru - the colours on this one makes me think of G1 Molasses~) Roo and Emu cascade - is that kinda what you meant Kisscurl? Outback roos Green and gold with roos and emus Lemmie know what you think

Those look awesome silvershadow and I'm sure you can probably do alot better than me too I like the brown outback roos design best personally although I think that a mascot with more defined colours would be betterm like the green and gold versions or the red white and blue.

Yeah I agree mewchan - I like the brown one too, but people might find it hard to connect it to be all Australian rather than just outback people. Though I was thinking of giving her a bandana or head scarf that's the Australian flag, like what AusMLP had for the canteen, and maybe that would help make her a bit more recognisable. but then, there's also the matter of whether or not all aussie collectors can identify with her I suppose. It was fun to try something different though. The red-white-blue theme is part of many other countries', so green-gold might be the best option for her scheme if we want her singled out from other country ponies, though I guess it really comes down to making her symbol recogniseable as Australian. If anyone has any other ideas they want me to try out, just let me know and I'll give it a shot. I'd like to see what design ideas you had in mind though mewchew

Here is an adult version in munchy's pose. I still think we should use silvershadows since her style is more "moscot-ish" but I wanted to do these anyway Today I re-learnt that all the stars on the Australian flag have 7 points *grumbles* so hard to draw free hand. EDIT: OMG I forgot their blush Fixed it now though I was just messing around with the symbol Haha Kangaroo and emu doing a high 5! ftw Was experimenting with a new brush type... think it looks ok Also changed the babies colour so closer to the propper colour

ok, I've managed to get some time to try out with different colours. I tried putting the name aussie pony fair 2010 (can change each year) under it (again, it will be done better if picked. it's not easy writing neat with a tablet) and tried it with different hair colours. Personally, I'm not too keen on text on a pony, but hey, that's for the other aussie collectors to decide on their mascot: And another one with a different symbol, trying with the green and gold theme (with Aust drawn without a ref, so it's not the best). Kisscurl, I just had a thought, coz I've seen that you've already put up a voting... I think we should keep pressing for more ideas until we can't think of any more, and then post up all/most of the potential ideas on maybe the ponyfair forum? I think most aussies are on there. From that, we could ask people to say which few they prefer most or put some suggestions for change in colour combinations/symbols (over a given period of time) and then do the final vote with a final selection, so that we can make sure it's a mascot that aussie people are happy with. Also, there is that unicorn mascot on ponyfair australia, so unless she's only a mascot of that forum, should we be including her in this too as a potential assue mascot? Just so that people can still vote for the old mascot? But yeah, just thoughts, if it'd take too much time to do (like getting people to put in a word), then I understand, but I just want to make sure people do get a choice with what's out there. if that made sense..

Good ideas silvershadow!
Also, (and don't read this the wrong way) but perhaps we could have a competition-like thing for people to design the mascot? I think Canada did it last year (or was it this year?). That way everyone who wanted to contribute could give it a go. Don't throw fakies silvershadow or mewchan - I love both of your ideas! Having a competition may bring even more ideas from everyone. We could then vote on what we like best and also tweak little bits if we needed to.
Also, I really think we need to run any poll on ONE board only. Otherwise we have people voting multiple times on different boards and this throws out the figures.
